La Transju’ Is Cancelled, Take On The Challenge E-Transju’ Instead
La Transju’, the biggest cross-country ski event in France, affiliated to Worldloppet and Visma, should have taken place on February 13th and 14th, 2021. In the difficult COVID sanitary conditions, La Transju’ organizing committee was forced into making the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 edition, but at the same time, invites participants to rise to a sporting challenge for solidarity, via your social networks with the Challenge e-Transju’.
"All conditions were present to pull off a magnificent edition, with superb snow conditions, conditions that were lacking in 2020. The organization of an event like ours is complex and in spite of our efforts to adapt to the present situation, we are forced to cancel. This decision, however difficult it is, in no way threatens the future of La Transju’ thanks to the support of our institutional and private partners" said Pierre-Albert Vandel, President of Trans’Organisation.
Entry fees for registered participants will either be reimbursed at 90% of their value, or the entry fee will be carried over to next year’s event.
No Transju’, but a Challenge e-Transju’!
For 44 years, La Transju’ has been THE rendezvous for everyone passionate about cross-country skiing. In the goal of staying motivated and mobilized, the organising committee has launched the Challenge e-Transju’, aimed at the general public, the young and the young at heart, confirmed athletes and beginners, this challenge offers the opportunity to experience a convivial moment wherever you may be, with family, with friends (while respecting sanitary measures) and it can be done anywhere in France or anywhere in the world.
When: From February 1st to February 28th, 2021
Proposed disciplines and distances: This challenge is carried out under the full responsibility each participant.

Registrations:

- Fees: 10 € that will go to la Transju partner associations: La Sapaudia, Skier pour Elles and Un souffle pour Nina.
Registration includes a « digital » bib number that can be printed. Participants are encouraged to share pictures and event times on their social networks using the hashtag #eTransju and in tagging their posts @LaTransju. After completing the challenge, participants declare his/her time and will then receive an e-diploma.
"It was important for us to stay motivated and mobilized facing the difficult context. We were looking for a way for the La Transju’ to take place one way or another. The Challenge e-Transju’ is a challenge that can take place where ever you may be, you have the entire month of February to do it and you can do it with your family or with friends", concluded Pierre-Albert Vandel.
