Keystone Resort Set To Expand Skiing And Riding Across Two Peaks Starting Friday, Oct. 25
Keystone Resort announced today that it will open North Peak on Friday which will nearly double the resort’s total skiable acres for skiers and riders. With more than 80 acres across two peaks, and five lifts open, Keystone is offering diverse beginner and intermediate terrain.
Thanks to ideal early season conditions, nearly 20 inches of natural snowfall this week, and Keystone’s new state-of-the-art, automated snowmaking system, the resort will be adding both beginner and intermediate terrain. This includes an expanded learning area next to the Kokomo carpet, and access to intermediate rated terrain on North Peak via Prospector and Mozart Flats. Guests will be able to access terrain on North Peak via the Outpost Gondola and Santiago Express Lift. Guests can return to Dercum Mountain via the Outpost Gondola and Ruby Express Lift.
With the opening of North Peak, Labonte’s Smokehouse BBQ will also open on Friday serving up house smoked meats and barbeque to hungry skiers and riders. Guests can also enjoy limited food and drink offerings at the Outpost. Additional food and beverage options across the resort include 9280’ and Starbucks in the Village, along with dining options at the Summit House on the top of Dercum Mountain where a $5 pancake breakfast is being offered every day until 10:30 a.m. and $7 pizza and soda will be offered in celebration of Keystone Kickoff.
Keystone Ski & Ride School lessons will continue to be offered out of the River Run location at this time, with group lessons available for beginner levels and private lessons for all abilities.
Celebrate with Keystone Kickoff – October through Nov. 24.
