Kasberg’s Winter Operations Secured

After a long period of uncertainty about the continued existence of the Kasberg family ski area, a solution was now found in good time: the responsible liquidator will lease the operational business to the newly founded KASBERG Betriebs GmbH, meaning that nothing stands in the way of the start of the 2023/24 winter season.

“The goal is to put our Kasberg on a healthy footing, with leaner structures and a better range of services,” says the new management, looking optimistically into the future. The Almtal entrepreneurs Friedrich Drack, Ing. Johann Drack and business trustee Mag. Dr. Ralf Gaffga will manage the ski area together with the Liveable Almtal Support Cooperative. The financing of the coming winter season is made possible by numerous companies and private individuals from the region and beyond. “It is particularly pleasing that the cooperation with the Snow & Fun card association is being continued and that we have some attractive activities on the mountain in preparation,” emphasizes the management. In addition to new events such as a Kasberg Children's Olympics, the legendary “DER KASBERG COOKS” will take place again on March 2nd, 2024.

In parallel with operations, discussions are being held with potential investors to ensure the long-term future of Kasberg.
