June In Bloom: The Meadow Month Of 2024 In The Tyrolean Oberland

For the sixth time, the Tyrolean Oberland adventure area is inviting visitors to the meadow month in June. Under the motto “JUNE.BLUAMA.ZEIT” the adventure area in the upper Inn Valley is transformed into a colorful paradise of flowers and herbs. For four weeks, locals and guests can expect a varied program full of highlights: herb garden tours, wild herbs, meadowland hikes, insights into regional crafts, tastings and much more. The traditional meadow festival, which is considered the highlight of the month every year, is again enjoying numerous visitors.

In harmony with nature, the Tyrolean Oberland adventure area celebrates the meadow month as a time to appreciate nature. Fabian Erhart, destination manager of the Tyrolean Oberland adventure area, explains: “The meadow month celebrates the beauty and diversity of our nature and honors all the people in the region who take care of it. It is a time in which we recognize the splendor of our cultural landscape and its importance for society and biodiversity. The highlight of our meadow month “Juni.Bluama.Zeit” this year is once again the annual meadow festival at Lindenplatz in Ried i. O. on June 22, 2024. At this festival with strong regional roots, visitors can enjoy high-quality products from local producers and expand their knowledge through guided insect and plant identification. This, of course, with musical accompaniment. There will also be a fun children's program for young visitors. We are pleased to be able to present this festival again in collaboration with the Ried Music Band and cordially invite you to celebrate the beauty of our nature together with us.”

This year the meadow festival will again be organized according to the criteria of the “Green Event Tirol basic” in order to place an increased focus on the principles of sustainability, regionality and environmental awareness. This decision reflects a joint initiative by the Tyrol Climate Alliance and the Tyrol Environmental Association. Particular attention is paid to an environmentally friendly journey, avoiding plastic and offering regional food and drinks. The Tyrolean environmental advocacy group is also actively involved in the meadow festival this year with the presentation of its “Citizen Biotopes” project.

The range of activities in the meadow month reflects the colorful diversity of the Tyrolean Oberland's floral splendor and offers something to suit every taste. From hiking through picturesque landscapes to culinary delights, there is something for everyone. The Tyrolean Oberland adventure area is looking forward to active participation.
