Jasper, Alberta Voted Number One Ski Town In North America By USA Today Readers
The town of Jasper National Park has been dubbed “Best Ski Town” in North America in USA Today’s recent Reader’s Choice survey.
Asking the question “what makes a great ski town?”, the survey implored participants to consider the qualities of a ski town that are most important to them including ease of access to the slopes, the local/small-town vibe, the food scene, as well as the history of the area.
Jasper receiving the coveted “Favorite Ski Town” spot comes as no surprise to Brian Rode, 40-year resident of Jasper, and VP of Marketing and Sales at Marmot Basin. “The town is its people, so it’s really no surprise that Jasper landed this award. We are truly the best combination of all the things that makes the ski town experience so special.”
The USA Today Ski Town survey, which collected votes over a four-week period, offered a slew of 20 towns from across North America to choose from. Nominated towns were selected by a panel of experts, in partnership with USA Today editors.
