Jackson Hole Names Ned Wonson As Vice President Of Marketing
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) regrets to inform that Andrew Way, Chief Marketing Officer, has announced his resignation, effective Feb. 3. Way joined JHMR in July 2022 and has made significant contributions during his tenure, including expanding the resort's creative impact across various touchpoints, guiding the JHMR brand, and helping to up-level the resort’s communications strategy. Additionally, Way has been instrumental in strengthening the team through effective coaching and leadership. Way will remain in the Jackson area and is taking time to prioritize his family and health.
JHMR is excited to announce that Ned Wonson has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing, effective immediately. With over a decade of experience at JHMR, Wonson takes the helm of the Resort’s marketing efforts, overseeing its digital strategy and year-round offerings. Wonson (right) was hired by JHMR in August 2011 and has held various roles in e-commerce and digital marketing prior to the past seven years as Marketing Director.
“Ned’s deep understanding of the brand and his passion for Jackson Hole make him the perfect leader to guide our marketing strategy and lead our team” said JHMR CEO Mary Kate Buckley. “This promotion recognizes his many years of commitment to our marketing efforts as well as the key role he took on to lead our Safety Committee and develop JHMR’s comprehensive safety initiatives.”
Wonson’s promotion comes during an exciting winter season for JHMR. The Resort has seen remarkable snowfall in recent weeks with 196 inches reported at the summit of Rendezvous Mountain, all lifts in operation, and more snow in the forecast. In addition to its pristine skiing conditions, JHMR is gearing up for major events, including the iconic Kings & Queens of Corbet’s in February and the Rendezvous Music Festival in early April.
Reflecting on his new role, Wonson said: “Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a place unlike any other. From my first winter renting skis at Teton Village Sports to leading marketing initiatives, I’ve been captivated by the unique spirit of this mountain. It’s an honor to step into this leadership position and continue sharing the Jackson Hole experience with guests from around the world.”
Wonson is an avid skier, snowboarder, mountain biker and fly-fisherman, and he and his wife and two children live in the Jackson Hole area.
