Isbjorn Of Sweden Continues Ambitious Sustainability Pledge For FW23 Season

Premium and sustainable outdoor kids brand Isbjörn of Sweden continues its ambitious sustainability pledge and strong partnership with PrimaLoft for Fall/Winter 2023, with a new range of padded products which use PrimaLoft’s new insulation with Ocean Bound plastic.

PrimaLoft Insulation with Ocean Bound plastic is made from post-consumer recycled material that has been specifically sourced from coastal areas, helping to stop the devastating flow of plastic waste into our precious oceans.”

The collection of three products, based around some of Isbjörn’s best-selling styles, will be available exclusively through Isbjörn’s website and is one of the first to include PrimaLoft® Insulation with Ocean Bound Plastic, made from 100% recycled content with 60% sourced from coastal areas.

The products are:

• SeaLion – a version of Isbjörn’s award winning Penguin Snowsuit in one solid color, with faux fur. Sealion has also been shortlisted for a FW23/24 Scandinavian Outdoor Award in the Kids category
• Puffin – a version of Isbjörn’s Toddler Jumpsuit with a new Isbjörn signature polar bear print, with faux fur
• Snowball – a version of Isbjörn’s popular padded Helicopter Winter Jacket with faux fur

As with the original styles, these long-lasting ‘slow fashion’ garments are designed to provide children with maximum cold weather protection, to keep them safe and comfortable as they enjoy outdoor activities. With grow cuffs on arms and legs, which can be extended by up to 3cm, children can get more than one season’s enjoyment from the garments before handing down to younger siblings or friends.

PrimaLoft Insulation with Ocean Bound plastic is certified by OceanCycle, which ensures the material’s proximity to coastlines, ethical sourcing and end-to-end traceability – all documented from collection through to manufacturing.
