The initiative Nos Ladins - We Ladins gives those who visit Alta Badia the opportunity to carry out activities together with the people who live here. The undisputed protagonists of the project are united by a deep innate passion for the place where they were born and grew up. No-one is able to bring these experiences to life more intensely than those who live in these places. Spending time together with a young baker, a ski expert, a local gamekeeper, five slopes' insiders, a young sommelier, two professional snow groomer drivers, a goat farmer, a young weaver and a mountain guide is an experience that remains in the hearts of the people who participate in the activities of Nos Ladins-We Ladins.

These are the appointments not to be missed during the winter season 2022/23:

• NEW. A TASTING WITH THE CELLARMAN. Jan Clemens likes to be called cellarman, because the cellar is part of his life. And it is precisely in his cellar inside a restaurant in San Cassiano that he will take the participants on a tasting with him. Here it will be possible to taste little-known wines, produced by independent winemakers and cellars. The tasting will be accompanied by the pairing of local cheeses. The experience will be unusual, because the proposed selection of wines will be very unique. It is well known, the independent winemaker not only defends his terroir, cultivates his vineyard and harvests his grapes, but is also the one who likes to promote the fruit of his work and culture. The events will take place on 22 December 2022, 19 January and 16 February 2023.
• NEW. THE ART OF WEAVING. 'Without a link to tradition, there can be no future'. This is the vision of Felix, a young man working in the historic family textile business, specialising in household products. In spite of the advent of new technologies, the weaving mill, handed down from generation to generation, has never changed in spirit and has wanted to maintain a strong link with tradition. Visiting the workshop and having the chance to make some typical local textiles is an experience worth living. Appointments are scheduled for 21 December 2022 and 26 January 2023.
• NEW. GOATS’ WORLD. There is a farm in Alta Badia that is home only to goats, which are very generous and produce milk for cheese, yoghurt and delicious desserts. During the appointments with Roberta, a determined and enterprising woman who loves to be in company and tell the stories of her world made of goats, meadows and stables, it is possible to discover life on the farm among these friendly animals, as well as to taste the natural products, made without any kind of adulteration. Appointments are scheduled for 8 February and 16 March 2023.
• NEW. RESPECT THE FAUNA IN THE WOODS. Hubert is one of South Tyrol's seventy gamekeepers. He is a genuine person who is attached to the territory and loves his job, which he does with passion and dedication. On 9 and 30 March 2023, Hubert will accompany participants on wild animal sightings, reveal the secrets of the gamekeeper's job and give precise instructions on how to deal with animals, discover how they live and feed, and above all how to have full respect for fauna.
• BAKERS FOR A DAY. Spending a few hours with Nikolas, a young local baker, means discovering the world of baking from a very privileged point of view. Nikolas will reveal to participants some of the secrets of his preparations, from the typical Schüttelbrot bread to the various types of bread that are brought to the table in Alta Badia. These are the appointments taking place in the family bakery: 14 December 2022, 1 and 15 February and 22 March 2023.
• SKI MOUNTAINEERING AT DAWN AND BREAKFAST AT THE MOUNTAIN HUT. Three appointments not to be missed for those who love ski mountaineering and admiring the sunrise in the midst of the spectacular scenery of the Dolomites. Participants on 5 January, 2 February and 2 March 2023 will be accompanied by Roman, an expert local mountain guide.
• A PERFECT PAIR OF SKIS. Norbert is a master at preparing and waxing skis. He will show and try out how to arrange and set up skis at a ski rental in Alta Badia. Norbert carries out his work with attention to detail, from waxing to sharpening the edges. Norbert will also make the skis of those who attend the meetings with him on 11 January and 8 March 2023 perfect.
• ON THE PISTE ON THE SNOWCAT. Every evening, after the slopes have closed, the numerous snow groomers set to work to ensure that the slopes are perfectly prepared for the next day. The job of snow groomer drivers is not easy, but it is certainly very exciting. The thrill of getting on a snow groomer and preparing a ski slope is certainly a unique emotion, which can be experienced together with Julia and Daniel on the evenings of 15 December 2022, 4 January, 22 February and 1 March 2023.
• INSIDER SKIING. Skiing with someone local, who knows every turn that can be taken on skis, who tells the stories of the places and the people who live there or have lived there, who can describe the beauty of the environment from a particular point of view is an experience that goes beyond the hour spent with the ski instructor. Each appointment will take place with a different insider, in different places. These are the appointments: 12 and 25 January, 9 and 23 February and 15 March 2023.
