Inghams Expands Lapland Programme For Winter 2019/20

Specialist tour operator Inghams, the expert in Finnish Lapland, is proud to expand its popular programme for the Winter 2019/20 season with the introduction of a brand new five-star hotel: Design Hotel Levi.

Sister to the four-star Levi Hotel Spa, Inghams’ flagship property in the resort of Levi, the Design Hotel is located within the same complex and will open its doors to the public in November 2019, in time for the start of the winter season. Seven-night stays at the hotel are already available to book through Inghams.

The boutique hotel will feature 77 Deluxe rooms, which will combine traditional Lappish style with a chic design: materials sourced from Finland will include grey pinewood, natural stone, and black and copper finishes. The rooms will span across four floors and Inghams guests will have the choice of a Deluxe Double/Twin room (with king size bed), Deluxe Loft room (with a mezzanine, creating an ideal space for sleeping a family of four) or Deluxe Suites (which will feature balconies - the perfect place from which to admire the Northern lights when they make an appearance - and private saunas).  Single occupancy rooms are available for a supplement.

The hotel will also share three on-site restaurants with the Levi Hotel Spa when it opens next winter. Inghams guests will be able to take breakfast in the Kekäle Bar, a casual place in which to enjoy a delicious and healthy start to the day! Beyond the usual assortment of breakfast classics, the menu will feature Lappish and Finnish specialities, seasonal ingredients and organic products. Inghams guests also have the option to upgrade to half board for three nights during their week’s stay*, which will include a set menu and a Chef's Special five-course evening meal on the third night (all evening meals will also be taken in the Kekäle Bar). Additional restaurant options for optional à la carte meals include Ahku Restaurant & Kitchen, and the Classic Pizza Restaurant, and the village centre with further dining options is less than a five-minute walk away.

Guests staying at Design Hotel Levi will be able to make use of the facilities at the Levi Hotel Spa ‘Spa Water World’, which are expansive and include multiple indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms (there is a local charge to use the gym, for massages and spa treatments).
