Indy Pass Adds Two More Resorts

Soldier Mountain Ski Area in Fairfield, Idaho, and Pomerelle Mountain Resort in Albion, Idaho, have joined the Indy Pass, and each resort will provide Indy Pass holders with two days of skiing or riding through the end of the 2020-21 season.

“We are super stoked to be joining the Indy Pass and welcoming skiers from across the U.S. to our little corner of paradise here in the Sawtooth Mountains,” Soldier Mountain general manager and managing partner Paul Alden said.

Soldier Mountain Ski Area is an alpine ski area in the western United States, in the Soldier Mountains of Sawtooth National Forest in south central Idaho. Located 12 miles north of Fairfield in very rural Camas County, its summit elevation is 7,177 feet above sea level with a vertical drop of 1,425 feet. The area has two chairlifts in series on its east-facing slopes, and a magic carpet was installed in the fall of 2012 near the base

“The Indy Pass coalition of smallish resorts is a great fit for Pomerelle,” said general manager Jody Burrows. “We are a true mom-and-pop operation that delivers great snow and strives to provide a friendly, uncrowded atmosphere for our guests.”

Pomerelle Mountain is an alpine ski area in the western United States, in south central Idaho. It is located below Mount Harrison in the Albion Mountains in the Minidoka Ranger District of the Sawtooth National Forest, and south of Albion in Cassia County, 30 miles (50 km) northeast of the Utah-Nevada border with Idaho.

Pomerelle's summit elevation is 8,762 feet (2,671 m) above sea level with a vertical drop of 1,002 feet. There are two chairlifts (both triple) and a magic carpet for the beginners' area. The area's average annual snowfall is 500 inches.

One of the oldest ski areas in the western U.S., Pomerelle began its operations in 1940. During the ski season the area operates daily and five nights per week (Tuesday through Saturday).

Pomerelle features a spacious lodge at the bottom of the mountain offering foods and beverages. There is also a grill outside the lodge on the deck that offers hamburgers, hot dogs, and cold drinks and beer. In the basement of the lodge there is a rental shop.

Soldier Mountain and Pomerelle Mountain Resort are the 60th and 61st ski areas to join The Indy Pass. Passholders get 2 days of skiing at all 61 resorts throughout North America.
