An initiative promoting healthy lifestyles
Choosing a winter sport contributes to a healthy lifestyle and this program is a real boost to achieve this. Very affordable, it allows everyone to try skiing or snowboarding and discover the well-being of being on the slopes.
“We are very pleased with the interest that people have shown in this Ma première fois launch day. In addition, by inviting newcomers and young people in difficulty to take part, we wanted to emphasize the accessibility that this program brings to sliding sports. Thanks to their participation, we can say that it's mission accomplished,” underlines Josée Cusson, Communications and Marketing Director of the ASSQ.
“This invitation from the ASSQ only marks the beginning of a great winter adventure for many of our participants. The families present loved their experience and plan to return to enjoy their 2nd visit included in the program in the coming weeks. In fact, they are all working very hard to integrate into their new environment and accessibility to board sports is now a key element in their approach,” remarks Odélie Joly, coordinator of the FAMILY sector, Carrefour d'aide aux newcomers .
Two visits to learn about sliding sports at $29.95, valid all winter
Offered to ages 5 and up, the My First Time program is broken down into two stages; first, it offers a one-hour lesson in skiing or snowboarding, with full equipment rental and access to the learning zone at participating ski resorts.
