With “Ride and Slide”, Switzerland Tourism launched an offer last winter season that is aimed specifically at the young target group and invites you to take the train on your winter holiday. This product has now been relaunched and expanded for this winter. The ambassador for the current winter campaign is one of the world's best ski racers, the Swiss Marco Odermatt. In entertaining video tutorials, he shows how best to enjoy winter in Switzerland. The world ski star, World Cup winner, Olympic champion and Swiss athlete of the year 2021 and 2022, Marco Odermatt, explains everything about the Swiss winter in short “how to” tutorials as winter coach and ambassador for this year's Switzerland Tourism winter campaign. “Ride and Slide” – take the cable car to the slopes
The well-developed public transport deep into the mountains and ski areas makes it easier to travel by train to a winter holiday in Switzerland. The “Ride and Slide” product is aimed specifically at the young target group between 25 and 35 years of age and encourages travel by public transport. Anyone who books the train to Switzerland from Germany via Railtour receives a discount of between 30 and 40 percent on the ski pass, up to 20 percent on the rental of winter sports equipment and up to 15 percent discount in selected Swiss youth hostels. And a discarded snow groomer above Gstaad in the Bern region provides original culinary refreshments: Under the direction of the chef of the five-star Hotel Alpina Gstaad, Martin Göschel, this food truck is operated according to the “Zero Waste” principle and recycles the leftover products from the hotel kitchen.
