H&M Move: Mountain Tech Meets Modern Style For Winter ’24

After the success of its winter performance capsule in 2023, H&M Move’s new ski collection has maintained its multifunctional, technical, and affordable credentials.

It has, however, also evolved. Big time. Incorporating new search-and-rescue technology into modern silhouettes brings the range right into 2024. Here’s a whizz through the collection’s key info before its two-part release in October and December:

H&M Move’s adoption of RECCO reflector technology - the rescue tech that makes wearers searchable to professional rescue teams - into select garments makes this year’s offering more technical than ever. The brand’s partnership with RECCOmeans that advanced mountain safety is now more accessible than ever before.

H&M Move’s new ski range blends modern style and mountain tech, with functional design, Scandinavian aesthetics and performance-oriented materials. The integration of RECCO reflectors into select garments ups the collection’s technical ante and highlights H&M Move’s commitment to safety. The new line of skiwear and accessories all come at an accessible price, helping to keep more winter sports enthusiasts safe.

PERFORMANCE, ALWAYS

H&M Move has, for the third year running, collaborated with the expert outdoor agency, Grand Studio, to ensure every detail of the collection meets the requirements of all mountain users. This, combined with H&M Move’s independently tested trademarked performance fabrics - the windproof, waterproof, and breathable StormMove and the heat-retaining ThermoMove - means, once again, this range puts functionality on a par with style.

MOUNTAIN-READY ACTIVEWEAR FOR ALL

Despite using huge material innovations and upgraded tech features, 2024’s collection has maintained H&M Move’s affordability, making functional activewear more accessible without compromising quality.

“With this collection, we've combined Scandinavian aesthetics with technical materials that we’ve designed for performance in snow sports,” says Mfon Boman, H&M Move's Outdoor Product Manager. “It hits the sweet spot between fashion and functionality thanks to a neutral colour scheme incorporated into new silhouettes, and features such as snow gaiters, goggle wipes, and ski pass pockets, on top of the addition of RECCO technology.”

“Our mission is to make more people searchable, and our brand partners are what make this possible,” says Fredrik Steinwall, CEO at RECCO. “H&M is one of the largest fashion brands in the world, and we know we’ll reach both existing and new consumers alike with the new H&M Move ski collection. We’re incredibly happy to see more and more brands, like H&M, integrating RECCO technology into their products, especially as our global network continues to grow.”

The range for men, women, and juniors will be split across two drops, and offer a complete layering system featuring jackets and snow pants, 2-layer and 3-layer shell jackets, fitted ski trousers, non-quilted puffer jackets, modern one-pieces, and 100% Merino base layers, all designed for however you move.

H&M Move’s new ski collection will be available at hm.com/move on 31 October, with further styles for women dropping on 9 December.

H&M Move offers functional, fashionable activewear, accessible for the many.
