Hinterstoder & Wurzeralm Reward Public Transport Users
Climate protection is now part of the modern lifestyle. For this reason, Hinterstoder-Wurzeralm Bergbahnen AG and the OÖ Verkehrsverbund are inviting people to the public transport hiking autumn from August 31 to September 15, 2024. On these days, everyone who arrives with a public transport ticket will receive a 30% discount on the mountain railway tickets in Hinterstoder and the Wurzeralm.
Climate protection is rewarded
"The topic of sustainability has long been on the agenda for us mountain railways in many areas. Public transport is a particularly important topic and we are pleased to be able to reward all guests who travel by public transport together with the OÖ Verkehrsverbund as a partner and, on the other hand, to motivate others to travel by public transport," says Helmut Holzinger, CEO of Hinterstoder-Wurzeralm Bergbahnen AG.
Hinterstoder can be easily reached from the central Linz area by train and bus, as well as the Wurzeralm. "With the Upper Austrian Transport Association, we have a perfect partner that brings all climate-conscious guests directly to the mountains easily and inexpensively."
Public transport hiking autumn with 30% discount
Anyone who travels to Hinterstoder or Wurzeralm by public transport from August 31 to September 15, 2024 will receive a 30% discount on mountain railway tickets. For example, adults pay 16 euros for a mountain ride in Hinterstoder instead of the normal price of 22.50 euros. The discount is granted at the respective local sales points upon presentation of a public transport ticket valid on the relevant day (including KlimaTicket OÖ and KlimaTicket Ö).
Ticket tip: Leisure Ticket OÖ
Hiking enthusiasts and families can travel particularly easily and relaxed with the Leisure Ticket OÖ. With this day ticket, up to two adults and four children under 15 can travel by bus and train throughout Upper Austria for 24.90 euros. The Leisure Ticket OÖ is valid from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. on weekdays and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in the entire Upper Austria network area. The only exceptions are long-distance trains and the Pöstlingbergbahn in Linz.
Regardless of whether it is the KlimaTicket OÖ, KlimaTicket Ö, monthly ticket, Freizeit-Ticket OÖ, Jugendticket-Netz or single ticket: the special prices for the public transport hiking week apply to all OÖVV tickets valid at that time or to the KlimaTicket Ö.
