Helly Hansen’s New World Cup Infinity Insulated Jacket Developed With Norwegian And Canadian Alpine Ski Teams
With a heritage of over 140 years, Helly Hansen is a brand trusted by professionals, using their insight and experience to create gear that can perform in even the toughest outdoor environments. This season, the brand is launching the new World Cup Infinity Insulated Jacket, developed together with the Norwegian Alpine Ski Team and the Canadian Alpine Ski Team. It is built with a variety of technical features, specifically designed to meet the needs of professional alpine skiers and enthusiasts alike.
Leveraging the teams’ feedback, the World Cup Infinity Insulated Jacket combines innovative technologies with quality design. Featuring LIFA INFINITY, Helly Hansen’s responsible, professional-grade waterproof/breathable technology, the jacket is built with a fully waterproof/breathable LIFA INFINITY membrane, achieved without the use of chemicals, combined with a minimum of 50% recycled content and a PFC-free durable water repellent treatment. With LIFA INFINITY, the World Cup Infinity Insulated Jacket meets the extreme waterproofness and breathability of HELLY TECH Professional construction while also being better for the environment.
Both the Norwegian and Canadian Alpine Ski Teams expressed the need for a warm, comfortable jacket that could easily be taken on and off. These professional athletes need warmth when using the ski lift while also being able to remove their jackets before completing a run, and because training requires repetition, they’re often needing to take their jackets on and off multiple times throughout the day. Designed with this in mind, the World Cup Infinity Insulated Jacket is built with a zip opening on the forearms, making it easier for the professionals to take the jacket on and off while wearing protective arm guards.
The jacket is constructed with a two-way centre front zip and adjustable cuffs, designed to be easy to handle while wearing gloves. Additional features include a high collar for added weatherproof protection, PrimaLoft Black Eco insulation including on the helmet-compatible hood for extra comfort and warmth, a RECCO reflector for added safety, an adjustable powder skirt, multiple pockets, articulated sleeves for optimal mobility, mesh ventilation for added breathability, and a Life Pocket+ to keep phones running longer in colder climates. The women’s jacket is also built with an expander zip in the back to provide a better fit and optimal comfort for a variety of female body types.
Louise Micolon, Product Manager for Ski at Helly Hansen, comments, “Quality design and our relationship with professionals are at the centre of each product we make. Each season, we’re inspired by their experience and insight, and with the new World Cup Infinity Insulated Jacket, we’re confident that skiers of all skill levels will be able to trust in their gear to deliver the highest performance and protection on the slopes.”
The World Cup Infinity Insulated Jacket will be available in both men’s and women’s styles alongside the World Cup Insulated FZ Pant in-store and online in September 2023.
