Helly Hansen Brings Ski Professionals’ Feedback To ULLR Freeride Collection For Superior Performance & Comfort
For over 140 years, Helly Hansen has continued to create professional-grade gear to help people stay and feel alive on the mountain. The Norwegian-based brand is trusted by professionals, drawing on their expert knowledge and experience to create gear they can depend on in even the harshest outdoor environments. For Autumn 2024, Helly Hansen’s Elevation Infinity 3.0 Jacket continues to provide maximum comfort and freeride performance with input from ski professionals, ski patrollers and professional freeride skiers.
Helly Hansen’s designers were inspired by the idea that no one spends more time on the mountain than ski professionals, acknowledging that they’re hitting the slopes all season long, whether for work or play. With input from the ski patrol team at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort alongside professional US-based freeride skiers Jim Ryan and Madison Rose, the design team finetuned the Elevation Infinity 3.0 Jacket to be even more comfortable and performance-driven. The upgraded jacket has been purposefully designed to pair with the Elevation Infinity Shell Bib Pant and the powder skirt has been removed, delivering a superior fit, comfort, and freedom of movement, ideal for freeride skiing.
An evolution of the award-winning Elevation Infinity Shell Jacket, the Elevation Infinity 3.0 Jacket features LIFA INFINITY PRO, Helly Hansen’s most innovative and responsible waterproof/breathable technology to date. The technology is built with a fully waterproof/breathable LIFA INFINITY membrane and durable water-repellent performance, achieved without the use of chemicals. Using LIFA technology, a proprietary Helly Hansen fibre that is lightweight and hydrophobic, the membrane is combined with 100% LIFA face fabric, guaranteeing everlasting water-repellent protection that never needs to be reproofed with chemical treatment after use.
Additional features include multiple storage pockets, adjustable cuffs and hem, mechanical ventilation zippers for added breathability, a RECCO reflector for added safety, a hi-vis hood brim and detailing for visibility, and a Life Pocket+™ to keep phones running longer in cold environments.
“We’re fortunate to work with a variety of ski professionals, whose insight and experience help us finetune our products to truly be the best on the market,” said Louise Micolon, Product Manager for Ski at Helly Hansen. “By continuing to innovate using our LIFA INFINITY PRO, we are introducing alternative solutions to performance apparel where no chemical finish is used to achieve water repellency. In this evolving industry where bans on PFAS chemicals are upcoming, we are and need to be prepared.”
The Elevation Infinity 3.0 Jacket will be available in both men’s and women’s styles in-store and online starting in Autumn 2024. To learn more about the existing ULLR freeride collection or Helly Hansen’s innovative technologies. For more information, please visit www.hellyhansen.com/en_gb.
