The construction of the new "Peter Anich III" combined cable car on the Rangger Köpfl near Innsbruck was started with a groundbreaking ceremony. The cable car project replaces the 53-year-old, 1,700-meter-long drag lift. The total cost is 8.2 million euros.

The construction of the new "Peter Anich III" combined cable car was launched with a groundbreaking ceremony on the Rangger Köpfl near Innsbruck. The cable car project will replace the 53-year-old, 1,700-meter-long drag lift with a modern cable car from Doppelmayr. It will connect 8-seater gondolas and 6-seater chairs over a total length of 1,300 meters.

financing

The total cost of the project is 8.2 million euros. The financing is secured through a combination of the Oberperfuss cable car company's own funds, subsidies from the owners, the municipality of Oberperfuss and Innsbruck Tourism, state funding and a bank loan. "With the new combined cable car, we are not only securing the future of the Rangger Köpfl operation and thus tourism in the region. The last investments in the cable cars have already shown that the companies are following suit and investing too," says Peter Paul Mölk, chairman of Innsbruck Tourism, outlining the economic importance.

sustainability

When implementing the project, particular emphasis will be placed on environmental compatibility. The modernization will be carried out without a large expansion of the area in order to keep the ecological footprint as small as possible. Short distances and the use of existing infrastructure will minimize the additional use of space and environmental impact during the construction phase.
