Gordini partners With American Avalanche Association & U.S. Avalanche Centers

Gordini, a leader in cold-weather gear innovation since 1956, announces it is the Official Glove Partner of the American Avalanche Association, supporting access to education, safety, research and resources to Avalanche professionals and their beneficiaries, as well as avalanche centers across the country, including the friends of the Colorado Avalanche Information Center and Mount Shasta Avalanche Center, the Mount Washington Avalanche Center Foundation and East Coast Avalanche Education.

Gordini’s 2024 partnerships include sponsoring regional and national avalanche workshops and webinars that support professional-level continued education, providing scholarships at both the professional and recreational level to under-represented populations, supporting outreach programs and snow science research projects, and helping to fund weather station daily operational needs.

“With the continued growth of recreational activity in the backcountry, we wanted to create a holistic approach to supporting safety in our beautiful backcountry spaces while promoting increased access to those spaces,” said Gordini Marketing Communications Manager Brett Wagenheim.  “These partnerships also allow us to get direct feedback from snow industry professionals who are out in the field every day using our gloves and socks in the ultimate performance testing grounds for our products, so that we can continue to innovate and improve our offerings.”

Gordini has expanded upon its Front Line glove series, developed in conjunction with Gordini Team Athlete and backcountry splitboarder Rafael Pease.  Designed as a mix and match backcountry kit, the Front Line series is constructed with 100 percent bluesign APPROVED materials. The award-winning Gordini sock collection offers six ski/snow styles for both men and women for Fall ’24 and features its exclusive SoleKNIT dual layer construction and OrbitKNIT ribbing technology for increased thermal benefits, fit comfort, breathability and moisture transfer.  For more information, please visit www.Gordini.com.

Gordini believes that handwear, socks and goggles are not merely accessories – they are equipment and should be built to endure the most demanding conditions, season after season. Gordini, a bluesign System Partner, honors its commitment to people and the planet by focusing on innovations that solve for the challenges faced by its users and the planet. Gordini is an ISPO Award 2023 winner in the performance sock category. The Winhall Ski Sock was recognized for its exclusive SoleKNIT and OrbitKNIT technologies.
