Girls Are Awesome Is Back With The Second Edition Of Slay Days

Girls Are Awesome is excited to announce the 2nd edition of Slay Days, a snowboard and ski festival created to celebrate and advance women in the shred industry. Premiered in Flachauwinkl (AUT) last season, the event is hosted in Innsbruck and at Patscherkofel close by in 2020 – taking place from Thursday, 27th of February – Sunday, March 1st, 2020. Slay Days is all about introducing more girls and women into the freestyle culture and progressing the industry in a fun way.

The action on the mountain is the key element of Slay Days, but the 4 day event is about so much more, by elevating the urban cultural elements tied to the sports we love. Presented by Girls Are Awesome – a purpose driven brand and media platform – Slay Days is a mash-up of on-snow freestyle coaching jams, talks, yoga, art, skateboarding, music and parties. Participants have the chance to win titles like ‘Best Style, Best Attitude or Best Progression’. Blue Tomato team riders Katha Buchegger, Alieke Hoi and Maya Casier will join the coaching crew in the park, as well as a special Nikita G.W.R. coaching session hosted by local girl gang Shred Unit. The Patscherkofel park crew is ready to host us with a fun setup to ride and play around with. Burton will be offering the possibility to test their Step On system each day on the hill. When it comes to talks, Girls are Awesome is hosting 3 talks and partnering up with Women in Boardsports for a special evening event. Alba Pardo from WIB and SBES Magazine will be hosting a panel with Valeria Kechichian and Lauren MacCullum. Valeria is the founder of the @longboardgirlscrew and an experienced TEDx speaker, and Lauren is a TV presenter, author and all-around activist, as well as heading up Protect our Winters in the UK. They are among the inspiring women who will share their stories during Slay Days.

Full Pass includes welcome dinner, free lunch on the hill, goody bag, a ton of drinks, and of course the coaching sessions. For participants without the Tirol Card or lift tickets, Slay Days participants get 50% off the lift tickets at Patscherkofel. On snow activities are reserved for girls, women, and people who are female identifying or non-binary, whereas we welcome everyone to all off-snow activities!
