Garaventa: Milestone In Freight Logistics For Cable Cars - Fully Automatic Underload Transport System On The Schilthorn

After five years of development work together with Derap AG, Garaventa was able to achieve a decisive success: the new development of a fully automated goods logistics system!

The video provides insights into the first tests and commissioning of this system as part of the Schilthornbahn20XX project. The underload container is automatically attached to the world's steepest aerial tramway using a specially developed crane system.

A challenging project that required innovative solutions – especially due to the self-supporting installation of the system on the building ceiling.

The next step is to carry out the final tests of the interfaces before the system is fully integrated into Schilthornbahn AG’s operations.
