Freeskier Michelle Parker Returns To Atomic
Atomic, the global leader in the design, construction and manufacturing of the finest winter sports equipment, today proudly announces it has joined forces with freeski phenom, Michelle Parker, who returns to Atomic after a decade long hiatus.
A pro-skier from Truckee, California, 37-year-old Parker started skiing at the young age of 15 and has since dedicated her life to the world of freeskiing. At one-time a perennial competitor, Parker regularly competed in the U.S. Freeskiing open, X-games and events like Red Bull Cold Rush.
After her long run in the competition scene, Parker became the star of many Matchstick Productions ski films and captured the title of Best Female Performance from Powder Magazine. Most recently, Red Bull produced a mini-series with Parker called Originate, which chronicled her adventures as she inspired audiences to embrace the unknown and push beyond the comfort zone by taking on new experiences.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Michelle back to Atomic,” said Noah Wallace, Sports Marketing Manager Freeski for Atomic. “An Icon of the sport, known for her grit, humility, and passion for lifting her community, Michelle embodies our team’s core values. This season, we’re excited to see her drive inspire – on the mountain and beyond.”
“Atomic has grown their list of athletes to include some of my favorite women in the sport and some of the most progressive athletes, the roster of athletes is so inspiring,” said Parker. “I’m beyond excited to land here. Atomic has clearly built a solid foundation on the women’s side proving that they’re invested for the long term. And the product speaks to me, Atomic makes my favorite skis. I stoked to grow my skiing to another level while continuing to expand my professional, personal, and athletic career.”
A founding member of S.A.F.E. A.S. (Skiers Advocating and Fostering Education for Avalanche and Snow Safety), Parker leads the organization as it works to heighten community snow safety and avalanche awareness.
