Franco Quinter Chairman Of Bergbahnen Splugen-Tambo AG Resigns
Franco Quinter, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bergbahnen Splügen-Tambo AG, is leaving the company after four years in office. "The decision is difficult for me in this heart project, but at the moment it is necessary and correct," says Quinter.
Bergbahnen Splügen-Tambo AG is currently starting to implement the master plan. This was presented and adopted in autumn 2020. It forms the foundation for a sustainable development of the company. Franco Quinter contributed significantly to the creation of the projects contained therein. They are the consequence of an intensive examination of the future of the company and at the same time the starting signal for concrete measures.
Bergbahnen Splügen-Tambo AG has been able to stabilize economically in recent years and is - despite pandemic-related restrictions - still on a growth path.
"From the point of view of the project developments that are about to start, it makes sense to hand over my office at this point in time", the outgoing Chairman of the Board of Directors is convinced. «I would like to thank all shareholders and all residents in the Rheinwald, who have always supported me. I know that the implementation of the master plan is in the best of hands in the Board of Directors. " A replacement for the office will take place at the General Assembly in autumn.
As Managing Director, Franco Quinter will focus on the further development of the HMQ Group and, in the coming months, on a company that he also chairs as Chairman of the Board of Directors and which is currently entering an intensive project phase: the new innovation center in Switzerland, InnoQube Swiss in Chur. Quinter is a co-initiator, developer and driving force behind the idea. After a three-year preparation phase, the groundbreaking for the building will take place shortly and operations have already started. "At this crucial time, I would like to use my resources specifically for this project," explains Franco Quinter.
The resignation at Bergbahnen Splügen-Tambo AG takes place in consultation with the Board of Directors. «On behalf of the entire Board of Directors and the shareholders, I would like to thank Franco for his great commitment and personal work. Together we have prepared the ground for the future of mountain railways, ”concludes Hacher Bernet, member of the Board of Directors.
