Fischer’s RC4 Podium GT Claims SKI Magazine’s “Best In Test” Boot Award
With an unprecedented awards haul for the 2019 / 2020 ski line-up, Fischer’s boot collection added a complimentary award this week, garnering a “Best in Test” award for the RC4 Podium GT. Testers lauded the “superb customization and solid on-hill performance” born from a racing pedigree and mixed with Fischer’s proprietary Vacuum Fit customization.
“This is the boot that a lot of us were looking for—we wanted race boot performance, but certainly don’t need to be in a plug boot.” Described Fischer’s U.S. Alpine Product Manager, Mike Hattrup. “The Podium GT comes out of the World Cup mold, but has a slightly wider last and moldable Vacuplast material, so you get the power and precision of a race boot with a more comfortable, all-day fit.”
The RC4 Podium GT is a new boot from 2019 / 2020 with advancements that “knocked the socks off testers,” according to SKI Magazine editor, Jon Jay.
The SKI Magazine “Best in Test” marks are awarded annually to category-leading ski industry products thoroughly tested by the SKI Magazine editors. The distinction is based on top design and performance in a variety of conditions.
The RC4 Podium GT is on sale now through Fischer retailers.
