FIS Journalist Award Presented To Radek Smekal
Radek Smekal of the Czech News Agency has been presented with the FIS Journalist Award 2020 by the Czech Ski Association.
Smekal is a prominent journalist of the Czech News Agency which provides immediate information not just to their readers but above all provides service to all the medias and newspapers across the Czech Republic. He has attended four Olympic Winter Games since Salt Lake City back in 2002. In addition to this, he has been working on countless World Championships and World Cups.
In his professional career, Smekal specialised in all forms of skiing and snowboarding disciplines and actively attends both national and international skiing competitions, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. He cooperates with Czech Ski Association on a regular basis as well as he attends all their events from races to award ceremonies, press conferences and meet and greets with the athletes. Throughout the years, he has made numerous contacts in the industry, especially with professional Czech athletes and coaches.
Apart from the classic journalism he is also involved in the publication field when he was co-editing a book which illustrated the best of the winter Olympic Games 2010 in Vancouver.
Smekal was presented with his trophy at the Czech Ski offices by Czech Ski Association President Lukas Hermansky.
