FIS IT Unveils Overhauled Online Entry System
A completely overhauled Competition Online Entry System developed by the FIS IT department has been unveiled to FIS stakeholders. The system provides data and information from national teams, industry and technical suppliers to FIS event organisers to help them organising their events.
The new system brings some new features based on the requirements of each FIS discipline. It also can be used on mobile devices. An additional administrative system is available for FIS staff to prepare and control certain parameters for the Online Entry System which will provide even more flexibility to run the system in the future.
The new Online Entry System will replace the old system starting this winter season 2020/21, while the summer events will still be handled through the old system. A user manual for the new system is currently being created and will be available at a later date.
Nevertheless, with a new system, issues and questions can be expected, so if any FIS stakeholders experience issues or have questions or feedback, they can inform their respective FIS disciplines assistants and/or FIS IT directly.
FIS Secretary General Sarah Lewis: “Congratulations to our IT colleagues Daniel Defago, Ulf Seehase and Uldis Brize on their important engagement to build and launch the new FIS Competition Online Entry System. We are certain it will be very well received by all stakeholders - everyone relies on the tool for key processes in managing their events and participation.“
