FIS Development Camp Park & Pipe Laax 2023 A Success

With blue skies, fresh snow and low temperature, the third FIS Development Park& Pipe Camp this season took place under perfect conditions. Combined with the world class parks and pipes Laax provides all season long, all ingredients were there for a good week.

The athletes and coaches from ARG, UAE, GRE, HUN, SVK, MKD, EST, LTU, GBR, GEO enjoyed snow training, physical training, mental coaching and workshops. On the theoretical side, they learned about periodizing the season, how to best recover and how to use data on training. The experts sharing this knowledge are coaching several high performance athletes in different disciplines.

With teams from 3 different continents, it is great to see the interaction between people from different nations and cultures. It shows the Park & Pipe community is spread globally and the number of nations creating programs for the sports is still growing. Language and cultural barriers disappear when the passion for our sports comes into the conversation.

As always at these Camps: friendships were made. As we have experienced before: new members of the community will surely make their way up to the top, representing their nations at major events: some nations even for the very first time.
