Excellence Redefined: Tyrol's Family Ski Regions Are Setting An Example

Tyrol, always a winter paradise for families, is now setting a new standard. 12 of 15 family ski regions have undergone rigorous recertification that goes far beyond the usual. The goal: create a holiday experience that is underpinned by measurable quality criteria.

Parents can relax and children can let off steam in Tyrol's top family ski areas. Thanks to slopes that are ideal for beginners, qualified ski schools, excellent child care and varied children's parks, an unforgettable ski adventure is guaranteed. Special family and children's tariffs also make the holiday affordable.

Excellence redefined: what really counts
The Tyrolean family ski regions have now raised the bar again - with a holistic approach that covers everything from the first Google search to the last day of skiing. But it's not just about a seal or a logo. It's about a promise: every certified company has met strict criteria that are regularly checked. For example, ski rentals offer small benches on which children can sit while trying on ski equipment and child-friendly height measuring bars.

Culinary delights for children: More than just fries
Children are little gourmets. That's why the Tyrolean family ski regions are now placing an increased focus on child-friendly culinary offerings. This is not a nice-to-have, but a MUST criterion in certification. From child-friendly menus to high chairs and painting sets at the table – gastronomy becomes an experience for the whole family.

New in certification: what has changed?

  • Visible symbol: a common logo that is visible both online and on site in the regions, unites the regions and shows guests the high quality of the existing offer.
  • Regional network meetings: for all participating regions and companies to exchange best practices and enable better coordination between partners
  • Culinary focus: increased consideration of child-friendly culinary offerings as a MUST criterion
  • Ski rental: improved child-friendliness, for example through small benches and child-friendly measuring sticks
For the first time: Hall-Wattens, the insider tip for insiders
