Doppelmayr Group Brings Innovations To Mountain Planet Trade Show 2024
Innovation will be the main theme for the Doppelmayr Group’s presentation at the anniversary edition of the Mountain Planet trade show, which will be held from April 16 to 18 in Grenoble, France. From the new ropeway system TRI-Line, AURO for chairlifts to the new features boosted by the resort management software clair, visitors can expect an exciting mix of state-of-the-art ropeway technology and demonstrative exhibits. The Doppelmayr team is looking forward to meeting large numbers of visitors at booth 781.
This year, the international trade experts, consisting of experts for alpine regions, planners for urban spaces as well as manufacturers and service providers, will meet in Grenoble for the 50th anniversary. From start-ups to world market leaders, the who’s who will be there and give comprehensive insights into solutions and trends in the world of mountains for today and tomorrow. Doppelmayr as a ropeway manufacturer and full-range supplier presents an extensive product portfolio that reflects the large scope of the Group and allows visitors to experience it.
Record-breaking: TRI-Line
The TRI-Line is Doppelmayr’s latest and innovative 3S technology. It combines the benefits of a tricable system with the advantages of the D-Line ropeway generation. The centerpiece of the ropeway system is the newly developed eight-wheel carriage. The TRI-Line is an all-round talent in every application: Its capabilities include long rope spans, large differences in elevation, high wind stability and an unprecedented transport capacity of 8,000 passengers per hour and direction. And at the same time, it boosts a small structural footprint thanks to its compact construction.
Powerhouse: D-Line 20-MGD
The latest D-Line development is another top performer. With the 20-MGD, Doppelmayr has created a cost-effective monocable system that is unrivaled in the urban environment. The newly developed D9000 double grip permits a cabin capacity of up to 20 passengers. Autonomous operation (AURO) is also possible with the new D-Line version.
Visionary: STELLA
The new CWA cabin STELLA with room for up to 20 passengers places the emphasis on high transport capacities: Its interior is both compact and spacious at the same time and its modular design allows for adaptation for every application. An available option with doors on both sides makes it even easier to direct passenger flows and to carry people or goods more efficiently. STELLA was specially developed for the TRI-Line and the D-Line 20-MGD.
Autonomous: AURO
Back in 2020, the Doppelmayr Group set the course for the future of ropeway mobility with the market launch of AURO (Autonomous Ropeway Operation) for gondola lifts. The experience gained from the first years of operation and the research conducted by Doppelmayr feed into the continuous improvement of this groundbreaking system. The next evolutionary step now follows with AURO for chairlifts (AURO-CLD). This combination of intelligent AI-supported image processing and sophisticated sensor technology make it possible to analyze and evaluate image and video data from the unloading area of the top station in real time and derive automatic actions. The system is continuously developed and improved based on real situations. The two first chairlifts in Austria and Switzerland have successfully gone into service already.
Digital: clair resort management
The clair software significantly simplifies operations and maintenance in resorts. A platform solution is used to bring together the infrastructure of a resort in one digital application in order to maximize customer benefit by means of efficient organization and documentation. The goal is a rapid and efficient overview of all equipment and systems at one destination. Interfaces and partnerships bring even more data into the equation: Snowmaking specialists TechnoAlpin, the steel rope manufacturer Fatzer and the experts for access systems Skidata and Axess make key data available in clair.
