Dolomiti Supersummer, IDM South Tyrol, Trentino Marketing, & ASI Reisen From Innsbruck Present Dolomites Ronda

Dolomiti Supersummer, IDM South Tyrol and Trentino Marketing, together with ASI Reisen from Innsbruck, have presented the new trekking product in the Dolomites. <iframe width="860" height="500" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/EuIU83e-85M" title="Die Dolomites Ronda ist da! Interview mit Marco Pappalardo, Marketingdirektor Dolomiti Superski" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>It is intended to be the slightly different "sister" of the already well-known "Alte Vie" high-altitude trails and will lead people on foot and with lift support to the most beautiful places in the Dolomites, from valley to valley, fully organized.

The idea

The new way to experience the Dolomites in a direct, personalized and sustainable way will be launched in summer 2024 - the Dolomites Ronda is a multi-day "self-guided" hike through the most beautiful corners of the Dolomites with overnight stays in hotels in the valley. The aim is to give the so-called "Alta Via" high-altitude trails, which for years have led mountain enthusiasts from hut to hut through the Dolomites, a "sister" that looks a little different. Hence the idea of creating a trekking product that focuses on the pleasure of immersing yourself in nature, being in close contact with the majestic Dolomite peaks, walking on marked trails and enjoying the breathtaking views that only the UNESCO World Heritage Site can offer, but without having to give up the comforts of an overnight stay in a village with all the comforts. "This is one of the current trends in hiking - spending the day at altitude and staying overnight in the valley, with professional all-round care. The mountain enthusiast can concentrate on the beautiful things that our mountains have to offer, the organization takes care of the rest," says Andy Varallo, President of Dolomiti Supersummer, explaining in a few words the new opportunity to experience the Dolomites in the warmer seasons.

The project

The Dolomites Ronda is the result of numerous ideas that were later brought together and concretized by Dolomiti Supersummer, the summer version of Dolomiti Superski, ASI Reisen, the leading platform for sustainable active travel worldwide, the territorial advertising organizations IDM Südtirol and Trentino Marketing and a number of local tourism organizations. The aim is to offer a new way of experiencing the most beautiful mountains in the world, the Dolomites. Between 2024, the year the project starts, and 2026, three trekking routes will be created that will allow you to discover the Dolomites in numerous valleys, completing one stage a day. Overnight stays will be in hotels in the villages in the valley, firstly because there are few mountain huts with limited places at high altitudes and these are therefore difficult or impossible to book, and secondly to combine the beauty of nature with the convenience and comfort of the accommodation in the villages. Individual packages can be purchased via the website www.dolomitesronda.com

The product

The first of three planned Dolomites Ronda trekking routes will be presented for summer 2024. These are five day stages in the central valleys of the Dolomites between South Tyrol (Alpe di Siusi, Alta Badia and Carezza-Eggental) and Trentino (Val di Fassa). The idea is to provide trekking enthusiasts with several stages, where everyone can decide for themselves whether they want to take the easy variant, the medium-difficulty variant or the demanding "alpine" variant, which also includes more exposed passages, more difference in altitude and some via ferratas. Depending on preference and, above all, on their own abilities, the route is designed to guarantee safety, fun and unforgettable experiences. ASI Reisen books the partner hotels chosen by the customer, transports the luggage from the start of the stage to the next hotel, hands over all travel documents with information, routes and data and provides its own APP, which can also be used offline and, of course, offers 24-hour telephone support if necessary. Below are the five stages currently available with some reference data:

The user decides independently, depending on his/her ability, physical fitness, mountain experience and weather conditions, whether to choose the easy, medium-difficulty route or to take on the challenge of the more difficult and difficult variant. In any case, the user takes his/her own safety equipment, the most suitable for the chosen route. The product can be booked directly on the website www.dolomitesronda.com.

The offer

The "Dolomites Ronda" product can be booked directly on the website www.dolomitesronda.com. ASI Reisen acts as the official booking center and takes care of hotels, luggage transport, route information including its own Dolomites Ronda app. Customers can choose the time window in which the partner hotels in the 3 or 4 star category are available and the number of participants. The package price includes 5 nights in the selected hotels, 5 breakfasts and 5 dinners, transfers according to the travel program, luggage transport from one hotel to the next, the ASI travel book, use of the own app with information material about the trip. Also included is the special Supersummer Card with a credit of 1,200 points for using the lifts included in the travel program. The "Dolomites Ronda" package can be booked from 1,205 euros per person. Everything that is not explicitly listed in the "Inclusive" list, such as any accident or travel insurance, must be purchased individually.

The network

The "Dolomites Ronda" is an alternative offer for getting to know the Dolomites in the warm season, which was created from the collaboration between Dolomiti Supersummer, ASI Reisen, IDM Südtirol and Trentino Marketing.
