Dodge Ridge Opens For The 2021/22 Season
Dodge Ridge’s 71st season of skiing and riding will kick off tomorrow Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 9am, with some of the best opening day conditions in recent memory following the winter storm systems that delivered over 6 feet of snowfall since Sunday night. Chairlifts 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7 will be operating along with the conveyer and rope tow for opening day with over 80% of mountain terrain accessible, and a new terrain park on the Stagecoach trail.
Chair 8 and the backside of the mountain are set to open on Friday, December 17, once Mountain Operations is able to prep the mountain following this week’s tremendous snowfall. This weekend we are happy to welcome Santa Claus to Dodge Ridge on both Saturday, December 18 and Sunday, December 19, with live music outside on Saturday. Winter Snow Play at Dodge Ridge will begin on Monday, December 20, 2021.
Early season conditions do exist with groomed and ungroomed conditions and marked and unmarked obstacles present. Please be aware that deep snow conditions exist and always remember to ski and ride with a buddy and keep your buddy in view at all times.
Advance purchase daily lift tickets are recommended this season and are available online from DodgeRidge.com. Dodge Ridge daily lift ticket pricing this season is still one of the lowest price lift tickets in the Sierra with tickets starting at $75 for teens and adults, $60 for seniors, $35 for youth and free for ages 5 & under or 82+. Season-long and daily preferred parking passes are also recommended this season and can be purchased online to ensure close-in parking. All Dodge Ridge services will be available Opening Day, including lesson programs for ages 5 and up. Lesson reservations are highly recommended this season and can be made online at DodgeRidge.com website. Advanced online rental purchases are also recommended this season to reserve ski, snowboard and helmet rentals for all ages. Food and beverage will be available from the Creekside Cafe with dine-in and take-out only options. The Sport and Tech shop will be open for equipment tunes, waxes and last minute holiday gear purchases.
By following all guidelines from state and local health officials, Dodge Ridge will work to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to prioritize the health of theentire community. Due to a recent increase in cases, the California Department of Public Health has mandated that everyone in California wear a mask when in indoor public spaces. This order is in effect December 15, 2021 to January 15, 2022. Hand sanitization and physical distancing will be encouraged and all guests and employees will be required to stay home if showing any symptoms or feeling unwell.
