DJ Otzi Summit Tour A Success
Gerry Friedle aka DJ Ötzi is on tour again! And exactly where he is at home! In the hottest après-ski locations in the Alps – from Hinterglemm to Montafon. On February 25th, the DJ Ötzi summit tour was a guest at Snow Space Salzburg on the Oberforsthofalm and it was an emotional tour stop for Gerry and all the fans!
After the brilliant start on January 9th, the time had finally come again on Sunday: the second stop of the DJ Ötzi summit tour took Gerry Friedle aka DJ Ötzi to the Oberforsthofalm in St. Johann in Salzburg and the crowd trembled. Around 4,000 guests celebrated on site and the weather couldn't have been better! Because Ms. Holle also knows what it takes for a good après ski party! The onset of winter on Saturday brought plenty of snow and a good atmosphere, and DJ Ötzi finally brought the sun back for his performance on Sunday. Perfect conditions for a lively party!
"My second living room"
St. Johann in Salzburg is a very emotional tour stop on the DJ Ötzi Summit Tour, as there are a particularly large number of Gerry Friedle's friends and acquaintances among the 4,000 fans and guests. The Mayr family's Oberforsthofalm is like "my second living room," said Friedle at the tour stop. And further: “This family is part of my family.” So the afternoon in St. Johann in Salzburg was not only a party for the fans, but also an emotional highlight for Gerry himself.
Stefanie JastrinskyManaging Director of the St. Johann Tourism Association in Salzburg said “We are very happy that Gerry Friedle and his DJ Ötzi summit tour stopped with us in St. Johann in Salzburg this year for the 6th time. Every year, the summit tour promises a great atmosphere, a good mood and, above all, a wonderful time in the middle of our beautiful mountains. This year too, Dj Ötzi thrilled our guests and locals with his unmistakable sound.”
As part of the DJ Ötzi Summit Tour at Snow Space Salzburg, Wolfgang Hettegger (CEO Snow Space Salzburg) also expressed his enthusiasm about the event and the current conditions in the ski area. He highlighted the exceptional snow conditions and excellent slopes, which make skiing over 12 peaks and through 5 valleys an unforgettable experience. Hettegger emphasized that the concert by DJ Ötzi, real name Gerry Friedle, rounded off the perfect day of skiing at Snow Space Salzburg.
“We had lots of fresh snow and great piste conditions - and then a concert by DJ Ötzi rounded off the day perfectly. A big thank you to Gerry Friedle for the brilliant show. He himself has close ties to our ski area and visits his friends at Snow Space Salzburg several times a year ,” says Hettegger.
Yes, the summit tour is a success - and the numbers speak for themselves: 100,000 spectators in five years of summit tour history can be counted. 27,000 meters of altitude were covered to climb all the peaks and 1,102 hours were already invested in setting up and dismantling. No wonder, with 7km of cable that had to be laid! In return there is 3.5 hours of full program for the fans. In the history of the summit tour, 3,115 songs have already been played - and anything is allowed: hits from DJ Ötzi, but also the best après-ski records. Because one thing is clear: a summit tour means a non-stop party!
