Dachstein West Forms A Ski Association With Kasberg

The new winter season is just around the corner. The ski regions are preparing for the winter of 2024/2025. Investments are being implemented and cooperations are being continued: The Dachstein West region - with Gosau, Annaberg, Rußbach, the Feuerkogel and the Dachstein Krippenstein - is taking the Snow&Fun map into the future with the Kasberg.

Cooperation and own ski map strengthen Upper Austria's tourism

Upper Austria is a popular winter ski area for many guests from Austria and abroad, such as Vienna and Lower Austria, the Czech Republic and southern Bavaria. "Upper Austria is very popular with tourists as a ski region. The variety of options is attractive, from skiing and snowboarding to nature experiences such as snowshoe hiking or ski touring. Above all, the regions keep the tourism engine running with cooperation such as that between Dachstein West and the Kasberg and investments," explains Rupert Schiefer, board member and managing director of the Dachstein Salzkammergut cable cars.

Now the bombshell: The Dachstein West region with Gosau, Annaberg, Rußbach, the Feuerkogel and Dachstein Krippenstein is cooperating with the Kasberg.

"After many discussions, we as those responsible for the regions and areas want one thing: to strengthen Upper Austria's economy and tourism. And we can only achieve this together. After the dissolution of the seven-region card association, we as Dachstein West are now working with the operators of the Kasberg and are offering guests a new Snow&Fun card," announces Rupert Schiefer. We Upper Austrian ski regions have an enormous variety of winter to offer. Dachstein West is known as a family-friendly ski area with its own children's areas, ski schools and the Family Park. We have the longest downhill run in Upper Austria with over 1,500 meters of altitude, we offer 160 kilometers of pistes, snowshoe trails and specially marked ski touring routes ," Schiefer continues.

Ski region Upper Austria strong

With the new offering of the largest ski area in Upper Austria - Dachstein West - and the Kasberg, winter sports fans will get even more of their money's worth. In addition, winter sports in Upper Austria will be maintained and expanded.

"We are very relieved that we will not be left behind because of the loss of the association. With Dachstein West, we can perfectly complement our values ​​and, above all, our offer and offer them to our guests together. We are very much looking forward to the collaboration and the start of the season," says Friedrich Drack, Managing Director of KASBERG Betriebs GmbH.

The new winter season starts in Dachstein West and on the Kasberg on December 6, 2024. Advance sales of the Snow&Fun card start online on October 3. The Snow&Fun card costs 549 euros for adults, 310 euros for young people and 179 euros for children. (Advance sales from October 3 to October 30). From the second child onwards, families can use the cable cars free of charge. Advance sales of the Dachstein West season ticket are also already in full swing.
