Cranmore Recognizes Long Term Employees

Cranmore Mountain Resort is pleased to announce several significant staffing changes that underscore the resort's commitment to excellence and growth. These changes highlight Cranmore's dedication to recognizing and promoting talent within the organization.

Retirements:

  • After an impressive 20-year career at the resort, Glenn Harmon, Vice President of Operations, has announced his retirement, effective July 1st. Growing up in Conway, NH, Harmon began his career at Cranmore in 2004 as Food and Beverage Director. He transitioned to Base Area Operations Director in 2006 before being promoted to Director of Operations in 2010. In 2021, Harmon was promoted to Vice President of Operations. Prior to working at Cranmore, Harmon served as an Area Director for Applebee’s for almost 15 years, opening the North Conway restaurant. His leadership and dedication have been instrumental in the resort's success and growth. Harmon will stay on as a consultant focusing on resort development.
  • Cranmore’s Properties & Facilities Manager, Mark Gorveatt, has also announced his retirement as of July 1st. Gorveatt who has been with the company for 13 years, has been instrumental in developing the resort’s facility/housekeeping department to be able to maintain the resort’s numerous facilities as well as aiding the master plan development. His work on reducing resort energy usages and improved efficiencies has also had a positive impact. His contributions to the maintenance and enhancement of resort facilities and new buildings have been invaluable to the resort.

Promotions:

  • A Conway native, Tricia Garcia, has been promoted to Director of Resort Operations. Tricia, who joined the resort in 2007 in the ticket office, has been a vital part of Cranmore’s team for 17 years. Over the past years, her role has grown from ticket and systems manager to manager of base area operations, to director of base area operations. In her new role, Garcia will oversee the ticket office, summer and winter mountain adventure park operations, tubing park, rental shop, bike rentals, facilities, and residential properties. Additionally, Garcia serves as the liaison with Cranmore partners, Sport Thoma Retail and Sodexo Live.
  • In the fall of 2023, Brantly Ludington was promoted to Director of Mountain Operations. Beginning his career at the mountain in 2010, Ludington worked his way from a ski instructor to terrain park supervisor, snowmaking supervisor, assistant mountain manager, and now to his current position. In his new role, he will oversee race operations, lift operations, ski patrol, terrain parks, snowmaking, grooming, and lift and vehicle maintenance.
  • Kelly Hunt, formerly Resort Services Manager, has been promoted to Sales and Events Director. Hunt will oversee all mountain events, functions, weddings, and sales programs, along with acting as the liaison with the onsite hotel, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Kelly joined the Cranmore team in 2021.
  • Ben Siwak will step into a greater role as Facilities Manager. Siwak joined the resort in the summer of 2023 as Assistant Facilities Manager. His experience and dedication will ensure the continued excellence of the resort facilities.
  • Robert Bray has also been promoted to Assistant Facilities Manager. Bray started working at Cranmore in facilities and housekeeping in the fall of 2023.
