Cranmore Adding New Events To Summer Line Up
Cranmore Mountain opened for its ninth summer season on Saturday, May 25.
The resort’s Mountain Adventure Park and Aerial Adventure Park offer a day’s worth of rides and activities for all ages, plus guests can enjoy offerings at the summit and new seasonal events.
Family Fun at the Mountain Adventure and Aerial Adventure Parks
The Mountain Adventure Park features a Mountain Coaster, Summer Tubing, Giant Swing, Soaring Eagle Zip Line, Bungy Trampoline, Kids Ropes Course, Scenic Chairlift Ride, Knockerball and more.
The Aerial Adventure Park is an aerial forest ropes course consisting of five individual, elevated courses for different ability levels consisting of dozens of challenging elements. Each course varies in terms of elevation and challenge. Elements include rope bridges, ladders, cargo nets and zip lines.
Tickets to both parks can be purchased online, 24 hours in advance, for a $5 discount, at Cranmore.com.
Scenic Chairlift Rides to Offer Expanded Operations
Cranmore’s Scenic Chairlift Ride will open earlier in the season this summer, offering rides to the summit on opening weekend, May 25.
At the summit, guests can visit the Meister Hut for lunch or Gifford’s Ice Cream, plus Sunday brunch. Brunch and lift packages can be purchased at the ticket office, or ala cart at the Meister Hut. Brunch will be offered each Sunday, beginning May 26.
The Meister Hut is also home to Cranmore’s satellite Tuckerman Brewing Tasting Room. Flights of five Tuckerman samples will be available for sale, along with single tastings and full pints.
Scenic chairlift rides are included in an All Day Play Pass or Mountain Adventure Park Pass. Single tickets can be purchased for $15 per person.The chairlift runs 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and opens at 10 a.m. on Sundays. The last ride down from the summit is at 4:45 p.m.
New Summer Events
This summer, Cranmore will play host to a few new events, as well as bring back family favorites.
On May 25, guests explored new mountain biking trails alongside the White Mountain Chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association (WMNEMBA).
New for summer 2019, Cranmore has announced the first annual, Cranmore Food and Wine Event. The event will be hosted by Chef Vito Marcello with special guest, Salvatore Ferragamo, Vintner from IL Borro Wines in Tuscany, Italy. The event is on Saturday, June 22 at the base of Cranmore’s North Slope.
The Cranmore Food and Wine Event will feature cooking demonstrations by Chef Vito Marcello and wine sampling from Pine State and Southern Glazer’s paired with food samples from Vito Marcello’s Italian Bistro and Cranmore Mountain and Centerplate. Tickets are $75 per person and are on sale now at Cranmore.com.
Returning for another series of concerts, Arts Jubilee will present spectacular outdoor concerts on five consecutive Thursday evenings: July 18, July 25, August 1, August 8 and August 15. Concerts are presented outdoors with mountain views at the base of Cranmore’s North Slope. An early concert by area performers is at 6 p.m., the featured main performance opens at 7 p.m.
Performances include: Roomful of Blues (July 18), Traditional and Contemporary Blues & Swing (July 25), The Music of Elton John and Billy Joel (Aug. 1), Pops Concert & Fireworks (Aug. 8), and Barnes, Gordy & Walsh - Bluegrass & Folk (Aug. 15). The Arts Jubilee Concert Series is a rain or shine event. Admission is $5 to $15 and can be purchased at the gate.
Other summertime events at Cranmore include the family-friendly Americana Celebration with backyard games, live music and more on July 4 and a Summit After Hours event with live music and dinner at the Meister Hut, on July 27. Additional summer events and details can be viewed at Cranmore.com.
The Mountain Adventure and Aerial Adventure Park is open weekends only from Saturday, May 25 through Sunday, June 9, then daily from Saturday, June 15 through Labor Day. From Labor Day on, the parks are open weekends only through Columbus Day. Operating hours are from 10am to 5pm. Tickets can be purchased online at cranmore.com.
