Courchevel To Open December 2nd

It is with great pleasure that Courchevel reports that the resort has been preparing for several weeks now to open its area to skiers from next Saturday, December 2 . Calendar

The most passionate skiers are already starting to wax their skis for the opening day which will take place on Saturday December 2 . For this first day of skiing, skiers will have access to the sectors of: Courchevel 1850, Courchevel Village and Courchevel Le Praz with the possibility of exploring certain links in the 3 Vallées area.

Second key date, Saturday December 9 with the complete opening of the area as well as all the connections in the 3 Valleys!

Like every year, a wind of novelty blows through the domain to the delight of  visitors. This year, zoom in on 4 news not to be missed on the slopes!

Chill between two descents!

This winter, in addition to the Nid de la Loze, skiers will be able to marvel at the beauty of the exceptional landscapes from the new Nid de la Saulire. A unique spot that invites skiers to relax and daydream between Vizelle and Saulire... On the program, a cozy break in a small chalet equipped with giant deckchairs to contemplate the superb panorama!

• Access by the Vizelle cable car.
• Free access to the reception.

Il Rifugio, Italy on skis

Notice to lovers of Italian cuisine, this new gourmet address is for you! A unique restaurant that smells of the Mediterranean with a generous menu which of course gives pride of place to pastas and pizzas with a special mention for Tiramisu! And what about the place...overlooking the Skiers' Cabin, today's gourmands will enjoy a superb view of the Saulire from inside thanks to the glass roof or on the terrace, also served on a tray.

• Restaurant located at the foot of the Vizelle gondola and at the arrival of Les Verdons.

The new picnic room!

All skiers are invited to discover the new “Picnic & Relax des Verdons” room. Time to relax in this completely renovated, warm and superbly equipped space: comfortable tables and chairs of course but also microwave to warm up your meal, glove dryer to leave your hands warm, free Wi-Fi to prepare for the next descents and provision of smartphone chargers... It's almost like home to recharge all the batteries between two slopes!

• Free access during opening hours of the slopes, room located at the top of the Verdons gondola.

Head Slalom, put your turns to the test!

In partnership with the famous ski brand Head, we will inaugurate a new slalom open throughout the winter season and accessible to skiers of all levels. A brand new space specially designed to allow our skiers to experience the sensations of a descent between the poles... the opportunity during a descent to put themselves in the shoes of our champion and ambassador: Alexis Pinturault.

Practical information :

• The Head Slalom is located at the bottom of the Dou du Midi piste.

Opening: 80's!

In order to properly celebrate this new ski season which is beginning, activities on the theme “80s” will be offered to visitors on Saturday December 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In the program ? Concert and 80's dancefloor, Fondue Party, artist performances and competition for the best disguise with gifts to be won... a festive day to enjoy with the family not to be missed.
