Sports: French Alpine Skiing Championships
After hosting the French Ski Mountaineering Championships in 2012 (Vertical Race), in 2013 (VR and Sprint events) then the World Cup in 2014 (VR and Individual events) without forgetting the French Championship in individual event in 2020 and the French VR Championship in 2022, The French Alpine Skiing Championship is once again in the spotlight in our resort with the Mixed Relay event (which will be on the programme of the Milano-Cortina Olympic Games in 2026) and the Vertical Race event on the official Millet Ski Touring Courchevel® course. Two days of skiing, competition and encounters: an intense weekend for skiing enthusiasts!
An Open race will also be organised on the day of the Vertical Race which will be the 4th round of the MSTC 2023. Registration is open to all, it's time to get your number!

The Millet Ski Touring Courchevel is back!
In 12 years, with 182 runs and 19,646 starts, the Millet Ski Touring Courchevel® has become an institution in the world of ski mountaineering and the benchmark for Vertical Race events.
Skier-mountaineers are invited to take part in this new edition with their best touring skis for a tough time trial. The challenge: to cover 3.2km and 500m of positive difference in altitude in a minimum of time!
A real endurance event that has become a must for all competitors and a unique opportunity for ski-mountaineering enthusiasts to ski in an exceptional setting on a course where the French Championships were organised in 2012 / 2013 and the World Cup in 2014. This is the time to set off for an epic time trial to Courchevel 1850 on the Croisette snow front. A competition not to be missed with many prizes at stake!

It is a sparkling young sportswoman that we propose you to discover in this section, a ski mountaineering ace who is not afraid of the spatula and who wears the colours of our resort: Emily Harrop!
This Franco-British woman has been evolving brilliantly since 2018 on the French ski mountaineering circuit to sign, in 2022, the best season of her career with the titles of World Champion, European Champion and by winning the general classification of the Ski Mountaineering World Cup! An example of consistency for a five-star career!
What's next? Emily continues to perfect her physical condition and technique on the slopes of our resort with her sights set on the Olympic Games in Milano-Cortina in 2026 with the goal of winning an Olympic medal! Go Emily, Go!
Culture: Art at the Summit with Lorenzo Quinn
Son of Oscar-winning actor Anthony Quinn, Lorenzo was born in 1966 in Rome. With his father, he discovered the Catalan surrealist figures who attracted him and awakened his imagination. After studying at the New York Academy of Fine Arts and a brief career as an actor, where he played Salvador Dalí, he devoted himself fully to his art. Inspired by Michelangelo, Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Auguste Rodin, the sculptures exhibited throughout the world could not have found a better setting than our territory for this powerful ode to nature!

Save the date! The official inauguration in the presence of Lorenzo Quinn and elected officials will take place on Friday evening, 6 January 2023.
On the occasion of his Solo Show, a selection of Lorenzo Quinn's works will also be exhibited in the Galeries Bartoux. The sculptor will be in Courchevel 1850 in January to inaugurate this 14th edition of Art au Sommet! During an exclusive interview session, Quinn will retrace his artistic journey and talk about his approach.
We look forward to introducing the public to Lorenzo Quinn's powerful and beautiful monumental creations. May our station inspire him to create more when he comes in January!
