Courchevel Highlights 'The Path Of Contemplations'
It’s in the spirit of the times, practices related to well-being are booming. More and more people are looking for activities that are more in tune with nature and living things, with the aim of reducing stress or disconnecting from their daily lives. This is how the Courchevel resort created and inaugurated in 2023 a unique thematic trail around well-being, meditation and yoga.
Sense and feel rather than think
It is at the edge of Lake Praz that Le Sentier des Contemplations begins. Peaceful and welcoming, this new trail was designed to provide a powerful and comforting well-being experience. With free and open access, the trail crosses the Mateigena forest, dotted with bodies of water and clearings, discovering the grandiose landscape of the Tarentaise peaks on the horizon.
One route, different paths
Guided visually by signs, the route is also accessible with audio accompaniment thanks to a QR code.
Composed of around fifty physical and contemplative exercises inspired by meditation and yoga, the Trail allows us to rediscover and appreciate our sensory connection with Nature. There are exercises for hiking, yoga, meditation, conscious walking, Afghan walking, active meditation, as well as meditative walking.
Accessible independently, alone or in groups, the Trail invites you to follow different paths, each on a specific theme, and to experiment with the exercises offered in the workshops scattered along the route.
A journey in 5 stages
The meditative exercises are accessible to everyone, from spring to fall. The course is made up of five stages and a progression over four successive passages, to discover or deepen the bases of contemplation.
- Path of the body (exploration of bodily sensations)
- Glade of the 5 elements (invoke the energies and qualities of the 5 elements)
- Path of Breath (breathing and walking techniques)
- Glade of flowers (games and tests to develop attention)
- Path of the heart (listening to your sensations and opening your heart and mind)Portrait
