Countdown To Utah 2019 And Are 2019 In Full Swing
With the countdown to the FIS Freestyle Ski, Snowboard and Freeski World Championships in Park City (USA) and the FIS Alpine World Championships in Åre (SWE) dropping below the one-month mark, preparations for both events have entered the final stretch.
The 2019 FIS Freestyle Ski, Snowboard and Freeski World Championships, presented by Toyota will take place at Utah's Deer Valley Resort, Park City Mountain and Solitude Mountain Resort, 1st to 10thFebruary 2019 and the 2019 FIS Alpine World Championships in Åre presented by Skistar will follow from 4th– 17th February.
The FIS Freestyle Ski, Snowboard and Freeski event will attract approximately 1,400 athletes from 40 nations to Utah, for the biggest winter sports event to take place in the states since the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Meanwhile, in Åre, the world´s top alpine skiers from 65 nations and some 120’00 visitors are expected for an epic celebration of skiing, snow and winter.
The next three weeks are critical, as each nation will select their 2019 FIS World Championship teams. The maximum quota for a nation in any one event will be four per gender.
