Confluence Of States To Co-Locate Annual Gathering With Outdoor Media Summit

Outdoor Media Summit (OMS) and the Annual Gathering of Confluence of States will co-locate in Missoula, Montana, from October 14-16. This strategic alignment will help attendees of both gatherings gain valuable insight into the work that is happening at a broader industry level.

  • Outdoor Media Summit is where the brightest minds in media and marketing gather to share secrets, forecast the future and make more money. This year’s conference will take place in the heart of Downtown Missoula from October 14-16, 2024.
  • The Confluence of States is a bipartisan network of 18 state leaders advancing our outdoor economy through a collective voice.

The two events will bring together government officials, industry leaders, media representatives, and marketing decision makers at outdoor brands, to develop strategies that support outdoor recreation at a state level.

OMS attendees will gain valuable insights into state and national level outdoor recreation initiatives while Confluence members will have the chance to showcase their work to influential media professionals.

"There’s a powerful synergy between Outdoor Media Summit and Confluence of States," said Yoon Kim, founder of Outdoor Media Summit. "The initiatives that Confluence directors lead often determine the health of the outdoor industry in their states. The more that brands and media know about these state-level initiatives, the more they can benefit from them."

The event will feature shared programming and networking opportunities, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions. These will address pressing industry challenges and highlight innovative state-level outdoor recreation initiatives.

"We are excited to co-locate our Annual Gathering with the Outdoor Media Summit," said Katherine Andrews, director of the Arkansas Office of Outdoor Recreation and chair of the Confluence of States. "This collaboration underscores our commitment to elevating the outdoor recreation industry. It’s an extraordinary opportunity for state leaders and media professionals to connect, share insights, and champion the economic and social benefits of outdoor activities."

Hosted at the Holiday Inn in downtown Missoula, this co-located event promises to be a hub of collaboration, learning, and networking for outdoor industry professionals, policymakers, and media experts.
