Comeback Of "ISR Architecture Award"

Innovative architecture on the mountain in new buildings and renovations plays an important role in the overall concept and contributes to the identity of the respective destination. Achieving a balance between aesthetics and functionality is particularly challenging. In collaboration with their architects, civil engineers and construction companies, cable car operators implement exemplary projects that masterfully combine design, functionality, innovation, technology, economic efficiency and sustainability. The International Cable Car Review honors this visionary architecture on the mountain with the ISR Architecture Award .

WHAT?

Outstanding and sustainable projects in the German-speaking Alpine region – Germany, Austria, Switzerland, South Tyrol – will be awarded from all submissions in the following categories:

• Overall project : New construction or reconstruction of a major part of the cable car-related architecture
• Individual project : mountain station or valley station
• Exceptional sustainability:  project that stands out in terms of carbon footprint , materials used, energy production, etc.

The jury, made up of renowned personalities, awards the places (one winner and two further finalists) in a multi-stage selection process. The winners of the ISR Architecture Award 2025 can look forward to extensive coverage in the ISR media. The ceremonial award ceremony will take place as part of Interalpin 2025 in Innsbruck.

WHICH DOCUMENTS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED?

All buildings/projects that were completed between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2024 are eligible to participate. In order to assess the project, a description of the project and photos must be included with the submission. The deadline for submitting the fully completed documents is January 31, 2025. Note: Legal recourse is excluded. Multiple submissions from one company are permitted. Submissions must be made in accordance with the terms and conditions. Late submissions (closing date: January 31, 2025) cannot be accepted for organizational reasons. The award ceremony does not entail any claims by the prize winner against the organizers.
