Chill Factore To Re-open With ‘We’re Good To Go’ Accreditation From Visit England

It’s the news that snow fans have been waiting for. Chill Factore has announced that it will be re-opening its 180m slope in Manchester from 17th August and has released a video to show guests what measures have been put in place to keep them, and team members, safe during their visit. 

• Lift passes available, with social distancing measures in place 
• Snow park* will be open with social distancing measures in place 
• New Friends and Family private lessons* available for those members of the same household or support bubble 
• Changing rooms will be closed and no clothing hire available 
• The re-opening of Chill Factore, the longest indoor real snow slope in the UK, comes with some changes to opening hours, lesson sizes and the number of activities on offer to make sure guests can be safely socially distanced at all times. 

Chill Factore has also released a video that illustrates the new enhanced health and safety measures that guests can expect when they visit.

The team will be wearing PPE and protective screens have been installed at the main Guest Reception, along with multiple sanitising stations for guests to use on arrival, during their visit, and when they leave. In addition, snow fans must pre-book their tickets online and collect them from the self-service machines or Guest Reception upon arrival.

To reduce contact among guests and in line with the current Government guidelines, the changing and locker facilities will remain closed and Chill Factore will not be offering clothing hire for its activities. Guests will need to arrive in warm, waterproof clothing and appropriate clean, grippy footwear before heading out to the sub-zero slope to enjoy the snow. 

For those activities where kit hire is essential, including lessons and lift passes, guests will be able to borrow skis, ski boots, snowboards and helmets, or of course, bring their own. All equipment will be subject to thorough sanitising and quarantine measures between each use, using a new anti-viral fogging machine which eliminates airborne viruses on contact 

And it doesn’t stop there! Out on the snow guests will need to socially distance in the queue and on the ski lift. Plus, a brand-new Friends & Family lesson offering is available, in temporary replacement of Group Lessons. This means friends and family in the same household or support bubble can enjoy a lesson together out on the slope.
