Chilean Ski And Snowboard Federation Celebrates 80 Years
The Chilean Ski and Snowboard Federation has celebrated his 80th Anniversary since its founding in 1942.
During all this time and thanks to the work and dedication of many leaders and athletes the Federation is one of the leaders in all the ski disciplines in South America.
Their athletes have participated in all Olympic Winter Games since Sainkt Moritz, SUI in the year 1948 and also in World Ski Championships in many of the FIS disciplines.
The federation has been FIS affiliated since the year 1949 Chile is well recognized as an organizer of many FIS and SAC races from more than 70 years and also a World Alpine Ski Championships in the year 1966 in Portillo deep in the famous Andes Mountains, were the actual World Cup in Alpine Skiing was born.
Chile competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, from 4 to 20 February 2022.
The Chilean team consisted of four athletes (two men and two women) competing in three sports. Dominique Ohaco and Henrik von Appen were the country's flagbearer during the opening ceremony. A volunteer served as the flagbearer during the closing ceremony.
