Changes In Board Of Titlis Bergbahnen

At the next general meeting of Bergbahnen Engelberg-Trübsee-Titlis AG on February 19, 2025, there will be changes in the Board of Directors. Markus Thumiger and Guido Zumbühl, who have accompanied the company as members of the Board of Directors since 2012 and played a key role in shaping it, will leave the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors proposes to the General Meeting that Dr. Bianca Braun and Marco Russi be elected as new members.

Markus Thumiger and Guido Zumbühl have played a key role in shaping the Titlis Bergbahnen for 13 years. During their time in office, the snowmaking systems and the feeder routes were renewed, the Titlis project was initiated and international excursion tourism was expanded. In doing so, they made a decisive contribution to the company's success. The Titlis Bergbahnen would like to thank both of them for their dedicated work.

Dr. Bianca Braun is a member of the Board of Directors and the owner family of maxon international ltd. from Sachseln, the global market leader for precise and innovative drive systems. She studied business administration with a focus on technology management at the University of St. Gallen and received her doctorate in the field of family businesses. With her many years of experience in company management and her connection to Central Switzerland, she brings valuable perspectives to the Board of Directors of Titlis Bergbahnen. Dr. Bianca Braun: "My passion for mountain railways and the shared values ​​such as innovation, pioneering spirit and the pursuit of long-term success that characterize both Titlis Bergbahnen and maxon - visible at maxon, for example, through the Mars projects - excite and inspire me deeply."

Marco Russi, Chief Operating Officer and member of the Executive Board at Kuoni Tumlare, looks back on over 25 years of experience in the tourism industry. In his current role, he is responsible for global leisure tourism, meetings & events, congresses and sports hospitality. Marco Russi also acts as an advisor to the board of ETOA, the European Tourism Association. Marco Russi explains: "I am looking forward to bringing my international experience in tourism to the Board of Directors and helping to further strengthen Titlis Bergbahnen as Switzerland's leading tourism company."
