Change Of Chairman At Vitalpin
As part of the general assembly at the end of September, the Alpine-wide tourism association Vitalpin reported to well-known personalities in the Alpine tourism industry about the diverse activities of the association. In addition, there is a change of chairman at Vitalpin after four years.
In the past year, Vitalpin implemented numerous measures in the field of public relations and communication, such as more than 60 articles in international specialist magazines and newspapers. Because it's not enough to have a vision, to have goals, to want to make a difference - if nobody knows about it. Messages always need recipients. It is precisely for this reason that Vitalpin sees itself as a mouthpiece. In addition, the association was able to establish itself as a keynote speaker on the subject of "tourism with a future" and "sustainable tourism" and took part in over 40 events. In the Vitalpin tourism podcast, exciting conversations are held with inspiring personalities about the economic and living space of the Alps.
Change of chairman at Vitalpin
Hannes Parth led VITALPIN as founder and chairman for four years and made a significant contribution to the continuous development of the association. As a long-standing member of the board of directors of the Silvrettaseilbahn AG and deputy chairman of the Association of Cable Cars of the Austrian Economic Chamber, he is considered one of the most prominent cable car managers in the Alpine region. Now Roderich Urschler is taking over from him in the role of VITALPIN chairman.
The 25 founding members in 2019 have become 125 members during this time. "I've been in tourism my whole professional life and I've seen the attitude towards tourism change," says Parth. It was very important to him to show the importance of tourism for society as a whole. In order to achieve this, many players active in tourism and the industry benefiting from it were united for the first time across countries with VITALPIN. "Nothing has changed in the mission to show the true importance of tourism for our standard of living and to awaken an understanding of life and business in the Alps," added Parth, who was appointed honorary chairman of Vitalpin.
The newly elected Chairman Roderich Urschler will now continue to pursue this goal together with Managing Director Theresa Haid at his side. Roderich Urschler was an important supplier of alpine infrastructure (snowmaking, avalanche protection) for 30 years, chairman of the foreign trade committee of the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce for 17 years and spokesman for the Austrian cable car partners (representing the interests of the 80 largest suppliers to cable car companies) for 23 years. He is also President of Skipool Tirol. "I'm looking forward to this new task and I'm convinced that VITALPIN, with its measures and impulses, is in the right place at exactly the right time to contribute to the preservation of the living space for people in the Alps and to the future viability of Alpine tourism," emphasized Urschler .
Vitalpin is a non-profit, non-profit, non-political and international organization with members throughout the German-speaking Alps. The umbrella organization unites a million people and companies in the Alps who live from and with tourism and are dependent on functioning tourism. Vitalpin builds bridges to a future in which people, business and nature are in balance. Vitalpin represents interests, creates clarity on controversial issues and raises awareness of the importance of tourism in the Alps.
