The government council has extended the concessions for the Witerschwanden-Eggenbergli, Spiringen, Erstfeld-Schwandiberg and Waldnacht-Brüsti, Attinghausen, cable cars until 2044.
The Witerschwanden-Eggenbergli cable car is a double-track cable car with four exit stations. The system was built in 1953 and renovated and overhauled in 2022. It has a payload of four people or 320 kg of material and overcomes a height difference of 580 m. The maximum transport capacity is 34 people per hour.
The Erstfeld-Schwandiberg cable car is a double-track cable car that was built in 1953 and rebuilt in 1989. The cable car has a payload of four people or 400 kg of material and overcomes a height difference of 630 m. The maximum transport capacity is 34 people per hour.
The Waldnacht-Brüsti cable car in Attinghausen is a double-track cable car that was built in 1984. The cable car has a payload of three people or 250 kg of material and overcomes a height difference of 123 m. The maximum transport capacity is 45 people per hour.
