Burton Opens Retail & Employee Hub In Downtown Denver
Burton Snowboards is excited to announce that this weekend marked the grand opening of a new Burton Hub in the River North (RiNo) Art district of downtown Denver just in time for the holidays and 2020/2021 winter season.
Located at 2649 Walnut Street in the RiNo district, Burton joins the home of entrepreneurs, artists, restaurants, breweries, distilleries and other like-minded businesses looking to stretch the norms. The new 6,500-square-foot space will serve as a destination for both customers and local Burton employees, a place where retail and wholesale come together under one roof.
With dozens of world-class winter resorts just hours away from downtown Denver, the Burton Hub will serve the region by offering an assortment of Burton’s year-round product offerings for men, women and kids, including snowboards, boots, bindings, outerwear, apparel, accessories, and bags.
“We’ve been carefully planning and building our Denver store for years now, and it was so exciting to finally open our doors to the Colorado community just in time for the holidays,” said John Lacy, CEO of Burton. “We have a number of protocols in place to help our customers shop safely at the Denver store, including reduced store occupancy, as well as social-distance friendly services like curbside pick-up and phone orders. With Colorado resorts beginning to open for the winter season, our Denver Hub will be a convenient new place to pick up gear, then head to the mountains for some fresh air, and hopefully plenty of fresh snow.”
In addition to a retail store, the Denver Hub will house a wholesale showroom, kitchen and multi-purpose rooftop penthouse. This location will be Burton’s new Colorado center, allowing for streamlined customer service, including warranties, exchanges, product information, and more.
The new Denver Hub pays tribute to the history of snowboarding and Burton’s Vermont roots. By using architectural materials such as oak and raw finish steel, the new Burton Hub visually conveys the feeling of being immersed in the outdoors through elements that evoke freshly groomed runs, wind-blown snow and forests. Customers will experience moments throughout the retail environment to pause and absorb the spirit of Burton touching on all the senses.
The newly opened downtown Denver Hub is Burton’s first Hub in Colorado, joining the brand’s Boulder flagship and six other retail locations across the state. It’s also the fifth new Burton Hub the brand has opened across the globe with Zurich, Munich, Montreal and Stockholm opening over the course of the past three years.
The Denver Hub is now open at 2649 Walnut St. in the River North (RiNo) Art district. Store hours are currently Monday-Saturday 11am-7pm and Sunday 11am-6pm.
