Bumper Snow Falls Early In The Alps Make Ski Solutions Ready For A Strong 2024 / 25 Ski Season
Ski Solutions, Britain’s original specialist ski travel agency and tailor-made tour operator, announces an exciting start to the ski season as resorts across the Alps and North America are welcoming early snowfalls. Temperatures have dropped sharply and snow is already blanketing slopes, creating ideal conditions for the 2024/25 ski season. Some resorts are even opening ahead of schedule to take advantage of the conditions.
In Europe, snowfall is making headlines as key alpine destinations report significant early accumulations. Resorts such as Val d'Isère and Tignes, opening on 23rd November, are expected to receive an impressive 52cm of snow, while Courmayeur, opening on 30th November, is predicted to see 41cm of snowfall in the next three days. For skiers eager to get on the slopes, Zermatt has already opened its pistes and is forecast to welcome an additional 53cm of snow this week. Meanwhile, Verbier is fast-tracking its season opening thanks to 47cm of fresh snowfall.
Looking ahead to the festive season, iconic French resorts La Plagne and Les Arcs are already reporting snowfall of 82cm each in the next three days, setting the stage for excellent conditions when they open in December.
Across the Atlantic, North American resorts are also enjoying early snowfall and preparing for an exhilarating start to the season. Whistler Blackcomb in Canada has received nearly 1m of snow in the past week, prompting an early opening. Blackcomb Mountain will welcome skiers from Thursday, 21st November, followed by Whistler Mountain on Friday, 22nd November. In Colorado, Aspen is opening five days earlier than planned, with lifts spinning from Saturday, 23rd November. These early openings underscore a strong season ahead for North American ski destinations.
Ian McIlrath, Managing Director of Ski Solutions, said: “The early snowfall we’re seeing this year is fantastic news for skiers and snowboarders. Resorts across the Alps and North America are reporting strong conditions and some are opening earlier than planned. Whether you're looking to head to the Alps for fresh powder or experience the landscapes of North America, this season is shaping up to be one to remember. At Ski Solutions, we’re thrilled to see the mountains come alive with snow and look forward to helping our customers plan their perfect ski getaways”.
