Brundage Mountain Hits 200 Inch Snowfall Milestone
Brundage Mountain Resort is celebrating an annual snowfall milestone well ahead of schedule this year.
The resort logged its 200th inch of seasonal snowfall at its mid-mountain Lakeview snow marker overnight. The independently owned resort has seen more than 24 inches of fresh snow since Friday, January 31.
Seasonal or cumulative snowfall is measured starting October 1. Last season, Brundage didn’t hit the 200-inch mark until mid-March.
Hitting 100 or 200 or 300 inches is always fun and something to celebrate,” says resort spokesperson, April Whitney. “What matters more to us – and the people who love to ski and ride here – is the quality of the snow coverage and snow surfaces, which are insanely good right now.”
Brundage Mountain is reporting a max snow depth of 92 inches, with an impressive 68 inches at the resort’s base as of 1:00 pm on Monday, February 3. Heavy snow is expected to continue through at least Wednesday, with another 1-2 FEET possible over the next 48 hours.
