Bromont Inaugurates New "L'Express Du Village" Lift

It is with great pride that on this day Bromont, montagne d'expériences is announcing the official inauguration of its brand-new chondola "L'Express du Village", an investment of some $10 million.

The construction of this new hybrid chairlift achieves one of the first stages of its ambitious Altitude project, with a total investment in excess of $100 million, in collaboration with the Québec government. This lift will become a strategic asset for the positioning as well as the level of service our mountain can offer as a top tourist destination.

New hybrid chairlift "L'Express du Village"
The new lift`s name is derived from the merging of its location; at the bottom of the Versant du Village, which is the main slope side of the resort and from one of its numerous qualities; being its speed, comfort and flexibility. As a matter of fact, this new hybrid lift consists of 72, 6-place chairs and 18, 8-place gondolas which will enable the lift to transport 3,200 people per hour which represents an increased capacity of 34 % and this in a record time since skiers will reach the summit in only 4 minutes, 25 seconds.

"The representatives of the company Doppelmayr as well as our teams worked intensely to finalize this project, which at times created challenges, while also bringing countless emotions particularly when it came time to airlift the towers by helicopter. ''L'Express du Village is the first of many projects, that will be completed from now to 2026, making Bromont, montagne d'expériences an important destination, offering a wide variety of activities" stated Charles Désourdy, president of Bromont, montagne d'expériences.
"Tourism continues to be a powerful economic leverage for the province of Québec. The new hybrid lift project reflects Bromont`s willingness to attract a larger number of visitors in the region. Moreover, the diversity of activities currently offered, already sets Bromont apart in Eastern Canada, and will certainly contribute in making the Eastern Townships an outstanding tourist destination during both summer and winter", mentions Caroline Proulx, minister of Tourism.
"I would like to congratulate the promoter and his team for all the work they have accomplished", to highlight Isabelle Charest, deputy of Brome-Missisquoi and minister for Education. "This initiative, as well as all the other great ideas on the drawing board of Bromont, will attract in Brome-Missisquoi more skiers who will take part in its economic momentum while discovering the touristic attractions."

Altitude Project
