Branas, Sweden To Install New Chairlift For Season 2022/2023

Now it will be even easier to reach the top in Branäs. During the summer, Branäs will build a new express lift, this time from Mattesdalen. This will be the third express lift in Branäs. Toppexpressen is a step in continued investment in the existing ski area in Mattesdalen, but also an important part of the future project Branäs Syd.
Branäs is a winter sports resort west of Dalby and Klarälven in Torsby municipality in northern Värmland . Branäs alpine ski resort has 35 trails and  28 lifts (including = a gondola lift ) and 415 meters drop, which is the tenth largest drop in Sweden. Next to the restaurant Ladan at the top, most of Branäs' cross-country trails start, a number walk around and over the nearby bogs and extend over 28 km in total. Snowmobile and dog sledding safaris are also available at the same place. West of the ski resort is the nature reserve Branäsberget .
Toppexpressen will be able to transport 2,400 people per hour and in addition to opening up completely new travel routes across Branäs, it will also be a more weather-safe alternative to the Gondola in strong winds. From the village you can easily get to Mattesdalen by slide, either via the lift Stora Knappen or Amundsliften.
The plateau at the top will also be adjusted to optimize the flow of skiers gathered there. Thanks to a new attraction that goes under the Gondola, you will reach both Långsvängen, Storbacken and Branten in an easier way from both Toppexpressen and Gondolen.
